Read Across America Week at Bailey APAC

Our school had a fantastic time celebrating Read Across America Week, a nationwide event that encourages students to discover the joy of reading. Throughout the week, our scholars joined in the fun with themed days, creative outfits, and time spent with great books.
Scholars showed their spirit with activities like Crazy Hat Day for The Cat in the Hat, who even visited a few classrooms on Monday, and Crazy Sock Day inspired by Fox in Socks. The cafeteria staff even got in on the fun, serving Green Eggs and Ham. The celebration wrapped up on Friday with Career Day, reminding scholars of the possibilities ahead—just like the message found in Oh, the Places You’ll Go!.

The excitement for reading showed up in our Accelerated Reader results this week as well. More than 150 scholars took quizzes, completing nearly 400 AR quizzes in total. Together, they earned almost 1,000 AR points while reading nearly 5,500,000 words in just one week.
What an incredible accomplishment and a great reminder of how powerful reading can be.
